This collection was created after my husband passed away. Needless to say, my desire to create was nil.

I was overwhelmed with all that comes with a spouse passing. I had to find a job and figure out what my life looked like without him. The last thing I felt like doing was going into my studio to create.

Then I found a class on experimenting in sketchbooks. That felt doable, I thought.

From there I started painting small studies. These small works allowed me to be momentarily free from my grief and just experiment based on how I felt. They helped push me out of my artist block.

From those studies my Momentum Collection was born. These paintings are a celebration of the power of art to heal.

Now my art practice is all about moving forward, taking risks, making mistakes, and learning from both my failures and successes.

My hope is that these pieces will inspire you to take risks of your own. Small steps on a new path for love, understanding, or healing.

I hope this collection will speak to those of you who may feel lost after losing a loved one; to those of you ready to move on with your life, ready to take a risk and push your comfort level up a notch to craft a new path.
